Study Abroad Program Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Director, Study Abroad. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented group of individuals who are passionate about providing students with transformative international experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Rice's approved study abroad programs and Rice undergraduates' academic needs.
- Advise students on program selection, academics, finances, health and safety, and policies and administration.
- Guide students through the transfer credit process and determine individual student readiness to undertake study abroad.
- Provide support with, evaluate, and approve student applications, and contribute to and conduct study abroad orientations.
- Maintain contact with students while abroad, organize post-return programming, and participate in campus-wide programming to promote study abroad.
- Develop content for and present at various campus events and information sessions, contribute to the office's digital library, and coordinate student mentor activities.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years of experience in an advising capacity in a higher education setting
- 2+ years of experience in international education
- Master's Degree
- Substantial experience studying, living, or working overseas
- 3 to 4+ years of full-time experience working as a study abroad advisor for undergraduates
