Production Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at The J. M. Smucker Company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Use a range of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to perform duties.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Work closely with Regulatory Compliance to ensure food safety standards are met.
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- 3 to 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Training in electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Ability to operate forklift or other powered equipment.
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Industrial electricity courses, welding, PLC, pneumatic or other mechanic courses.
- Experience in the food or beverage industry.
- The employee must be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, bend, reach, push, pull, twist, crawl, and climb stairs/ladders.
- Be able to lift to a maximum of 50 pounds.
