The Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ambulatory Oncology Director to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of our Ambulatory Oncology department.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Director of Nursing in the organization, development, and operation of the nursing department within a functional unit.
- Assume responsibility for clinical operations, programs, and various nurses in leadership or advanced practice roles.
- Participate in functional unit, department of nursing, and hospital program committees.
- In the absence of the Director of Nursing, assume responsibility for nursing service within the functional unit.
The Ambulatory Oncology department at Johns Hopkins Medicine provides comprehensive cancer care services to patients. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and advancing the field of oncology through research and innovation.
Requirements- Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Maryland.
- Five years of clinical nursing experience with at least two years of experience in nursing management.
- Knowledge of nursing process, social, behavioral, biological, and physical sciences, EBP, and nursing research and application.
- Knowledge of current healthcare environment.
- General computer knowledge and capability to use computers.
- Knowledge of the science of patient safety and quality improvement processes.
- Knowledge of Service Excellence Principles and Behaviors.
- Tuition Reimbursement - Up to $15,000 per year.
- Dependent Child Tuition - Payment for up to 50% of child's tuition and eligible mandatory academic fees at an accredited, degree-granting institution.
- Retirement Savings Plan.
