Position: Crisis Intervention Specialist (Temporary to Permanent)

Location: Long Beach, CA (and nearby areas)

Reports to: Program Director

Employment Status: Temporary, Full-time, Exempt

Required Education: Master's Degree in Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, Social Work, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Sociology, or related fields

Salary: $67,704 plus opportunities for quarterly bonuses

Who You Are:
  • Possess a Master's Degree in Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, Social Work, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Sociology, or related fields.
  • Experience in the human services sector is essential.
  • Must hold a valid California Driver's license and insurance.
  • Preferred experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Tagalog, and/or ASL is highly encouraged.
  • Applicants should reside in proximity to the service area.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver support to individuals in crisis; including preventative, acute, or chronic crisis management.
  • Develop a Stabilization Plan and conduct Case Reviews.
  • Collaborate with a Psychiatrist, BCBA, and Psychologist.
  • Participate in a hotline rotation for acute crisis calls.
  • Engage in clinical training sessions.
  • Facilitate and/or participate in interdisciplinary planning meetings.

  • Final Interview.
