Job Title: Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative

Back Up: Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative

Summary

To provide exceptional customer service and support to our clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with all telephone inquiries, providing accurate and timely responses to their questions and concerns.
  • Quote customers on products, ensuring accurate pricing and lead times.
  • Process orders, including order entry and confirmation.
  • Confirm lead times on quotes and orders, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Confirm and update current pricing, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Expedite urgent orders, prioritizing customer needs and deadlines.
  • Follow up on quotes, ensuring timely responses and conversions.
  • Work with Outside Sales Managers to establish and maintain customer relationships, driving sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide samples to customers and salesmen, supporting product demonstrations and sales efforts.
  • Gather information for customer complaints and returns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Process product testing, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain customer addresses and contact information, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Confirm order changes and cancellations, ensuring seamless customer service.
  • Mail introduction letters to new prospective customers, driving new business and growth.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete reports and forms associated with the position: Ability to communicate effectively orally, and in writing.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
