Senior Accountant Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.
  • Prepare detailed company financial reports for the periodical and annual basis.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Oversee tax preparation, audit, and other financial-related activities.
  • Manage accounts receivable, general ledger, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial operations.
  • Analyze and manage variable costs to maximize profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Collaborate with management on the development and execution of funding strategies.
  • Assist in establishing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Participate in strategic planning, fraud prevention, and budget development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or other relevant certification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven expertise in financial analysis, financial reporting, financial accounting, forecasting, tax preparation, accounts receivable, general ledger, balance sheets, profit & loss, budgeting, variable cost, and GAAP.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with accounting software and MS Office.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven business decisions.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees and management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
