We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Sherman, TX. As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct and indirect speech therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the SLP in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs.
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students, individually or in groups, as directed by the SLP.
- Collect and document data on student progress and performance.
- Prepare materials and activities for therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to student services and progress.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
- Assist with screenings and assessments as directed by the SLP.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards as set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state regulations.
- B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Valid SLPA license in the state of Texas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
