Duties:

  • Conduct evaluations, provide therapy, and participate in ARD committees to assess and support students with speech or language disorders
  • Develop management strategies, and set goals in line with IEPs.
  • Consult with colleagues, students, and parents, collaborate with teachers
  • Provide professional development
  • Manage student behavior
  • Oversee program management, and comply with relevant policies and regulations, including supervising support staff if needed

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Texas license as a speech-language pathologist granted by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SBESLPA) or Bachelors degree and valid Texas Education Agency speech therapy certificate
