Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Retail Operations Manager to oversee the effective management of our retail and cafeteria services within the Food & Nutrition Services department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and supervise special events, ensuring adherence to cash management protocols and maintaining accurate payroll records.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of hourly team members to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure efficient resource utilization while promoting positive public relations and customer experiences.
  • Direct staff to deliver retail services that align with corporate policies and presentation standards.
  • Train team members in customer service excellence, portion control, cashier operations, and safety/sanitation practices.
  • Complete all required reports in a timely manner, adhering to corporate policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and families to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Implement and uphold cash handling standards to prevent theft and ensure financial integrity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Service Management or a related field; or an Associate's Degree with three years of relevant experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in retail foodservice management, depending on educational background.
  • Strong knowledge of food trends, quality control, sanitation, and cost management.
  • Experience with profit and loss accountability and contract-managed services is advantageous.
  • Proficient in cash retail operations and retail marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrated leadership, management, and coaching abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage with various stakeholders, including management, customers, and team members.
  • Familiarity with financial practices and proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
