Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood and body fluid specimens under minimal supervision.
- Ensure accurate and reliable test results by adhering to a strict quality control program.
- Perform instrument function checks and preventative maintenance procedures according to departmental policies and procedures.
- Assist in resolving equipment problems and oversee the teaching and evaluation of students and new employees.
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
- One to two years of experience preferred.
- Precision and accuracy to perform laboratory procedures.
- Keen judgment to evaluate information against measurable criteria.
- Visual acuity to read instructions and examine specimens.
