Position Overview:

Summary:

Engage in various computer operations. Supervise console control panels and implement procedural or operational adjustments as required. Offer on-call assistance and oversee development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and supervise mainframe and mid-range computer systems along with peripheral devices such as modems, printers, tape and disk drives, servers, and personal computers.
  • Monitor network panels for any faults or issues.
  • Advise on technology acquisitions for the organization.
  • Document computer-related issues and their resolutions for future reference.
  • Distribute computer equipment and outputs as necessary.
  • Act as a liaison between staff and the technology department to address concerns.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service promptly to both guests and colleagues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of experience with standard computer systems, operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
  • Ability to read and apply technical manuals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of computing and network hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computing software and domain network operation, implementation, and security.
  • Ability to convey technical information to non-technical personnel; interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Obtain and maintain all necessary work cards as mandated by the organization.
  • Verify eligibility to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Potential Work Environment Conditions:

The work environment is primarily an office setting, equipped with computers and standard office tools. The noise level is generally moderate. While the immediate workspace is smoke-free, smoking is permitted in other areas of the building.
