Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop precise civil engineering construction drawings.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of civil plan composition principles, including model space/paper space and the use of xrefs.
  • Interpret and analyze engineering construction drawings effectively.
Learn regulatory requirements and draft plans that comply with established standards.
  • Prepare plans, profiles, and detailed drawings based on sketches or redlines using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Collaborate with civil engineers to create engineering drawings that reflect topographical data and assemble site work construction documents, including grading, storm sewer, and water and sanitary sewer plans.
  • Adhere to company standards for drafting, including layer names, styles, and file naming conventions.
  • Evaluate sketches, notes, and other materials to devise efficient approaches for developing and completing drawings with minimal supervision.
  • Interpret and convert information from as-built engineering drawings.
  • Engage closely with other disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Prepare detailed exhibits, drawing sets, quantity calculations, and reports for various projects from preliminary design through final design.
  • Ensure timely and effective fulfillment of project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, and other Civil CADD technicians.
