Job Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Food and Beverage Server is to provide exceptional service of food and beverages, ensuring a delightful dining experience for guests. This role involves taking orders and delivering food and drink items in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner, which contributes to high levels of guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare the service area before, during, and after shifts, ensuring cleanliness and proper setup.
  2. Welcome guests warmly and inform them about any specials or promotions.
  3. Accurately record guest orders, confirming details to ensure precision.
  4. Input orders into the Point-of-Sale system to relay information to the kitchen.
  5. Retrieve and deliver completed orders, ensuring accuracy and providing necessary condiments.
  6. Monitor guest satisfaction and replenish beverages as needed.
  7. Promote dessert items and specialty beverages upon request.
  8. Present checks to guests in a timely manner.
  9. Assist with clearing and resetting tables as needed.
  10. Complete assigned side-work, including restocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness.
  11. Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service standards.
  • Understanding of guest relations and etiquette.
  • Familiarity with appropriate table settings and menu items.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading and writing.
  • Capability to remember and promote various menu offerings.
  • Physical ability to transport trays weighing up to 30 lbs. in a busy environment.
