Job Summary

Medline Industries is seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to join our team. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full product lifecycle, including sourcing, marketing, new product development, sales support, and financial growth of assigned products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans and promotional programs for existing products, including product strategy development, pricing strategy, collateral creation, and brand management.
  • Work with vendors on pricing, visit vendors to learn about products, and train personnel in all aspects of each product and usage.
  • Coordinate materials with vendors and develop sales strategies.
  • Review monthly financial performance and determine contributing factors, offering solutions for detrimental sales or cost trends.
  • Prepare product forecasts, including revenue and expense expectations, and analyze sales trends over time and the impact of competitive strategies.
  • Develop and deliver training materials for internal stakeholders, sales forces, and customers, creating sales tools.
  • Conduct effective market research and translate that research into new products, product improvements, or line extensions, providing leadership to a multi-functional team.
  • Travel with sales forces to support efforts to convert customers to purchase assigned products, providing timely follow-up to sales forces by answering product questions via email and phone.
  • Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training, and development opportunities, and performance management processes, building and maintaining employee morale and motivation, and ensuring the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree.

Work Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing, sales, product management, or clinical practice in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience negotiating with outside vendors and internal resources.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing financial data.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes within state and out of state.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word, including inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers, and tables, and adjusting table columns.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint, including applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style, and formatting font.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel, including using the SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers, and print scaling.
