LPN - Medical Care Specialist

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment. As a key member of the patient care team, the LPN will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver compassionate and personalized care to our patients.
Responsibilities
• Conduct quality control checks and perform operator maintenance on patient care equipment
• Assist in identifying patient needs and implementing the plan of care
• Document care given and patient response in the medical record
• Communicate pertinent patient data to the appropriate provider
• Administer oxygen, intravenous fluids, and prescribed medications in accordance with VA policy
Requirements
• Completed a program in practical nursing of at least 9 months' duration combined with 1 year of nursing assistant experience; or successful completion of a 2-year degree in practical nursing
• Two years of nursing care work in a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or other supervised medical nursing or patient care facility
