Job Summary

The Washtenaw Intermediate School District is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our school-based mental health services, you will work collaboratively with students, teachers, and families to provide comprehensive mental health support and promote academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and support students' mental health needs, providing individual and group counseling services as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school administrators to develop and implement mental health programs and initiatives.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for school staff on mental health awareness and best practices.
  • Conduct needs assessments and develop strategies to address mental health disparities and promote equity in our schools.
  • Work closely with community partners to ensure seamless transitions and coordination of services for students.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform decision-making and evaluate program effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Licensed Master Social Work (LMSW) or equivalent experience.
  • 4 years of clinical experience preferred; 2 years required.
  • Experience working in K-12 settings a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health conditions, treatments, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
