Roanoke College is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Field Hockey Coach to join our team. As a key member of our athletic department, you will be responsible for assisting in all facets of our field hockey program.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the head coach in developing and implementing a comprehensive field hockey program, including skills training, tactics coaching, and recruitment.
- Meet with student-athletes individually to ensure academic accountability and provide counsel to help them navigate the rigors of collegiate academic work.
- Develop and articulate a working knowledge of on and off-campus support services available to student-athletes.
- Assist in executing an active college community relations program to promote the field hockey program and its student-athletes.
- Represent the Department and Student Affairs Division in the College Community, developing relationships conducive to program and departmental success.
- Participate in our efforts to recruit qualified student-athletes for the field hockey program.
- Serve as a manager for selected athletic events.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- One to three years of field hockey playing or coaching experience at an NCAA-sponsored institution.
- Member of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.
- CPR certified preferred.
