Job Summary

The Sr. Analyst of Transportation is a key role within our Materials Marketing Group, responsible for managing and executing our logistics and transportation strategy nationally. This position will oversee our third-party transportation partners, ensuring efficient service, cost management, and carrier partner relationships. The ideal candidate will have a passion for safety, customer satisfaction, and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Role model customer zeal, serving internal and external customers with excellence and exceeding expectations.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective movement of raw and finished goods to internal and external clients.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze logistics data to inform decisions and improve routing accuracy and profitability.
  • Verify and reconcile data daily for accuracy and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Meet quarterly with stakeholders and management to discuss freight lane optimization and cost reduction strategies.
  • Support the implementation of new software and brokerage tools, cross-training peers to utilize these tools and create departmental synergies.
  • Understand and execute key performance management goals, meeting or exceeding expectations related to those goals.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to safe operations and promote a culture of safety among operational employees.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Five years of prior experience working in the transportation field.
