Job Title: Microbiology Lab Technician

Actalent is seeking a highly skilled Microbiology Lab Technician to join our team in Plymouth, Minnesota. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for analyzing and supporting all analytical testing needs on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate analytical testing for Medallion.
  • Provide support and flexibility related to the analysis of samples for Medallion Labs.
  • Document results and review data.
  • Investigate any technical discrepancies on a timely basis.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of the analytical methods being used to analyze samples.
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 Years of Experience. Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology or related field. Microbiology experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of microbiological plating techniques.
  • Basic lab skills including aseptic technique, pipetting, and serial dilutions
  • Knowledge of laboratory quality systems, statistics, and document control. ISO 17025 experience preferred.
  • Ability to manually calculate analytical test results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with people from technical, production, and other backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of analytical instrumentation including PCR methods.
Work Environment:

This is a fully on-site position in Plymouth, Minnesota. The role is in a lab-based environment where you will stand for long periods of time. Holiday pay is included.
