Responsibilities:

This role is an individual contributor position, with no management or supervisory duties. The successful candidate will independently coordinate and execute all custodial and sanitation tasks while ensuring the necessary supplies are available for designated areas.

Purpose:

Oversee all sanitation efforts at the Life Revitalization Center, dedicating approximately 70% of the time to Environmental Services and 30% to assisting with warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and supply of designated areas (including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning vents, and restrooms).
  • Train staff on the use of janitorial supplies, including chemicals and standardization procedures.
  • Manage supply orders through the Warehouse Manager while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Lead cleaning projects and daily cleaning tasks.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance activities.
  • Perform heavy cleaning tasks and special projects as needed.
  • Report any deficiencies or repair needs to management.
  • Stock and organize supply rooms.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations as outlined in Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Assist the Warehouse Coordinator with donations and orders.
  • Support events by providing hospitality services.
  • Complete required audits.
  • Engage with vendors for outside walks.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience as a janitor or in a similar role.
  • Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment and machinery.
  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Integrity and capability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Outlook calendaring.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent reading, writing, speaking, and active listening abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Intermediate technical skills, with experience in Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Adaptable to change.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Equipment/Personal Protective Equipment:

May occasionally require the use of personal protective equipment as necessary for specific tools.

Licenses, Certificates, and Other Requirements:

No specific licenses or certificates are required.

Lifting Requirements:

Medium work, requiring the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
