Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Supervisor to join our team at Clarke County Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating high-quality patient care in the Surgery Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement daily assignments and coordination of patient care in each perioperative phase.
  • Ensure staff orientation, training, and ongoing development to maintain high standards of care.
  • Identify, address, and resolve issues through effective communication and teamwork.
  • Review performance and make changes to improve services, streamline workflows, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Represent the Surgery Department in hospital meetings and work groups.
  • Assist in establishing, implementing, and evaluating goals and objectives for perioperative care.
  • Maintain positive relationships with CCH team members, surgeons, and their staff.
  • Develop and maintain policies for the department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an active Iowa RN License.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical surgical nurse experience, with at least 1 year of recent supervisor experience or related experience.
