Licensed Mental Health Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team at the Juvenile Detention Center in San Marcos, TX. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will be responsible for providing counseling and support to residents assigned to your caseload.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct on-site assessments and provide counseling services to meet the immediate and ongoing mental health needs of residents.
- Enhance the emotional well-being of residents by identifying and treating mental health symptoms and responding to crisis situations.
- Serve as a liaison between the facility, senior licensed mental health counselor, and assigned probation officer to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address behaviors, concerns, and progress toward psychosocial functioning.
- Collaborate with the senior licensed mental health counselor and other social service agencies to ensure quality of services for assigned residents.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and approval of Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs) to promote safe family reunification, preparation for return to the county of origin, or transition to an alternative living arrangement.
- Master's level, fully licensed professional with LPC, LPC-Associate, LMSW, LCSW, or LMFT licensure in the State of Texas.
- One to three years' experience in counseling, social services, or criminal justice, preferably with youth.
- Experience working with clients with trauma, behavioral disorders, or substance abuse and case management.
