Facility Overview: AdventHealth Heart of Florida

· Our facility is a licensed 193-bed acute care hospital with a variety of outpatient services, including imaging, rehabilitation, laboratory, and wound care, proudly serving the community for over five decades.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform radiographic procedures at a technical level that requires minimal supervision. You will conduct a variety of technical procedures that necessitate independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. You will take charge of designated areas or procedures, including specialized radiographic techniques.

Key Contributions:

· Execute imaging projections using appropriate positioning criteria and technical exposure factors for each procedure.

· Confirm patient and exam accuracy through two patient identifiers before proceeding with the examination.

· Review all images for accuracy and quality, ensuring that all required anatomical structures are included.

· Maintain effective communication with the workflow coordinator regarding exam status and availability.

· Utilize the computer system to manage exam statuses and ensure accurate billing.

· Operate and maintain imaging equipment safely, adhering to infection control standards and minimizing radiation exposure.

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma

· Completion of an accredited Radiological Technology training program

· ARRT certification within one year of employment

· Current State of Florida Department of Health operator's license

· BLS certification from the American Heart Association
