Primary Counselor

At Social Model Recovery Systems, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Primary Counselor to join our team. As a Primary Counselor, you will provide treatment services to individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues. Your role will involve providing individual counseling, group process, multi-family sessions, educational groups, and recreational activities to support participants in achieving their recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Model healthy and ethical behaviors in all interactions, adhering to HIPAA and Confidentiality standards.
- Maintain a primary caseload of participants, advocating for their unique needs within the program structure.
- Develop and update treatment plans for each participant, evaluating their progress in meeting goals and objectives.
- Document services provided according to Agency and regulatory standards, ensuring clear and concise documentation.
- Maintain and update program curricula as directed by the Program Director.
- Facilitate full utilization of service units, including Case Management, as directed by the supervisor.
- Assist with participant benefits application and ensure a safe and alcohol/drug-free environment.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Credential Requirements: SUD registered or certified. Non-smoker preferred.
