Job Description:This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and results-driven individual to take their career to the next level. As a BAS/Controls Estimator, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand the scope of work and project requirements. Your key responsibilities will include evaluating and adjusting estimates to ensure they align with project timelines, budgets, and specifications. Additionally, you will participate in the tender process, including the preparation of detailed proposals and bid packages. You will provide strategic recommendations to optimize cost efficiency and project performance. You will keep up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and market conditions to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency. You will also implement risk management strategies to minimize potential project cost overruns. Furthermore, you will liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and secure the best deals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of 3 years of experience in the BAS/Controls industry. You must have previous experience within mechanical contracting. Strong computer skills and strong communication abilities are essential. You must possess strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail. You must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. A solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations is necessary. You must be able to interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. A strong sense of professionalism and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct are required. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure are essential.
