Job Summary

ASM Global, a leading provider of public assembly facilities, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-Time Police Officer to join our team at the Laredo Energy Arena.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce state and municipal laws to ensure the safety of patrons, staff, and event participants.
  • Assist with accidents and respond to disturbance calls in progress.
  • Provide security and crowd control services during events.
Requirements
  • Valid TCOLE certification.
  • Current employment as an officer with the City of Laredo Police Department.
  • Prior written permission from the Chief of Police to hold part-time off-duty employment with ASM Global.
  • Valid TX Class 'C' driver's license.
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • B.A. in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Working Conditions

This position requires a considerable amount of walking, climbing, stooping, and possibly heavy lifting. The position requires work in both indoor and outdoor settings.

This position may be subjected to adverse conditions, including physical contact from hostile individuals.

Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to move around the facility.
  • Stand for long hours during events.
