Job Summary

Canton Elevator Inc. (CEI), a leading designer and manufacturer of complete hydraulic and traction elevators in North America, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret project-specific specifications and drawings to ensure accuracy and conformity.
  • Generate manufacturing drawings and order materials in accordance with job specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members on the shop floor to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Work closely with the sales department to determine costs associated with design changes.
  • Identify and drive corrective actions and improvement projects to enhance the design process and manufacturing techniques.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in an engineering-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided drafting and experience with AutoCAD.
  • SolidWorks experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to produce CAD drawings in a timely manner and review architectural drawings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and adjust priorities.
