POSITION SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Specialist will support the accuracy of inventory management for materials and finished products while coordinating the preparation of shipping documents, scheduling transportation, and handling customs documentation.
Work hours:
Monday - Thursday 6:30a-5:00pm
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Execute cycle counts and inventory assessments for incoming and outgoing shipments. Report discrepancies to finance and relevant departments as necessary.
- Assist in organizing year-end physical inventory counts, ensuring proper labeling for visual management.
- Uphold a safe and tidy workplace; report any unsafe conditions or behaviors to a supervisor.
- Prepare necessary documentation and engage with OEM, EDI, and ASN clients; including BOLs, shipment bookings, and ASN compliance.
- Support daily logistics tasks for both domestic and international shipments.
- Grasp the daily responsibilities of the shipping department and perform tasks as required.
- Operate necessary equipment in accordance with safety protocols, following proper certification.
- Carry out additional related and unrelated tasks as assigned through on-the-job training.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma is mandatory.
- 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse-related position is essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office and MRP systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with Sage 300 ERP system is advantageous.
- Forklift certification is required, provided by the company upon hiring.
- Capability to address complaints, provide coaching, and facilitate training.
- Ability to resolve practical issues and manage various concrete variables.
- Competence in interpreting diverse instructions, offering guidance, leadership, and innovative solutions.
- Proficiency in applying math, logic, and creative thinking in a dynamic environment.
- Occasional travel to local sites may be necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This role involves heavy work; exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force consistently to move objects.
- This position entails the following physical activities: climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, crawling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- The worker must possess close visual acuity to perform tasks such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at close distances.
- The worker is exposed to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards associated with a production and warehouse environment.
