Required Qualifications for Food Service Associate:

  • Previous experience in a dining establishment is advantageous but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities for Food Service Associate:

  • Serve meals professionally, showing genuine care for the satisfaction of residents and guests.
  • Adhere to safe food handling and sanitation protocols.
  • Complete all assigned side work and setup/breakdown tasks.
  • Ensure residents and guests receive high-quality meals promptly.
  • Maintain a positive outlook, demonstrate professional conduct, and uphold good personal hygiene.
  • Attend to tables and support fellow staff as necessary.
  • Address resident concerns and complaints with tact and professionalism.
  • Comply with all Dining Services Standards of service.

General Working Conditions:

This role requires prolonged periods of standing. While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee must effectively communicate with others, sit, stand, walk, and use hands to operate a keyboard, telephone, paperwork, files, and other equipment. Occasionally, the employee may need to reach with hands and arms. This position necessitates the ability to present information effectively in both one-on-one and small group settings with residents, guests, and other team members. The employee must be capable of reviewing detailed documents and reading computer screens. Occasionally, the employee may lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment demands appropriate interaction with others. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking fluent English is required. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to various locations may be necessary.
