Job Description:

As a Clinical Access Coordinator, you will provide scheduling support and coordination of appointments for patients. You will serve as a liaison for patients, families, providers, and staff regarding billing and service questions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide scheduling support and coordination of appointments, including scheduling services in or outside of the system.
  • Function as an in-clinic resource for patients, families, providers, and staff related to billing and service questions.
  • Provide first resolution regarding patient complaints, including identifying and submitting resolution for patient or client issues.
  • May complete prior authorization, referrals, complex specialty scheduling, and manage work queues.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in a Clinic Office Specialist role or 2 to 5 years of experience as a medical receptionist or customer service position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate's or Vocational degree

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Medical Reception or equivalent program preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Sedentary: Lifting weight Up to 10 lbs. occasionally, negligible weight frequently
