Job Title: Senior Transmission Line Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join our team at Gannett Fleming. As a key member of our Power business, you will play a critical role in the design and implementation of transmission line projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Design transmission line segments using PLS-CADD or other structural design software packages.
  • Prepare design criteria documents and construction specifications.
  • Estimate costs, resources, labor, and materials needed for projects and establish completion dates/deadlines.
  • Write, modify, and review specifications based on NESC, IEEE, and NEC requirements and utility-based best practices.
  • Prepare feasibility studies, routing studies, EMF calculations, and oversee project implementation.
  • Lead or assist with proposal preparation and other business development activities.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced engineers and technicians.
Requirements:
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • 7+ years of experience with transmission design.
  • Detailed knowledge of NESC, IEEE, and other applicable code/standards related to transmission line design.
  • High level of proficiency with PLS-CADD.
  • Electrical utility or utility consulting experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communications skills.
