Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with sales teams to advance large opportunities and defend existing business, including dentists/clinics and institutions to meet or exceed goals on total business opportunities, tracked as events in CRM (SFDC).
  • Presents the clinical evidence and health economic analyses as an expert and provides product training to customers and to sales team.
  • Teaches continuing educational programs to customers, including audiences at large regional and national professional association meetings.
  • Provides clinical and technical support to sales reps and customers on the products under the assigned specialty/segment on a variety of diverse and complex issues related to marketed products.
  • Co-leads with sales representatives clinical/sales joint calls requiring in-depth technical and clinical evidence discussions with Dentists.
  • Train clinicians on 3M products for evaluation or conversion; supports product evaluations with follow-up calls, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
  • Participates in regional sales meetings and conference calls.
  • Establishes a collaborative relationship with the regional sales manager and takes the initiative to propose an action plan that is aligned with the region's strategy and helps to deliver the business goals.
  • New Product Introductions (NPI): Technically trains 3M and Distributor Sales Team on new products planned to be launched in the region.
  • Identifies customers and conducts VOCs as required to retrieve accurate and complete data from the expected number of evaluators, by the due date.
  • Provides feedback solicited by Application Engineers and Marketing on new product ideas, concepts, launch collateral, and training material.
  • Educational Contributions: Conduct Education programs and workshops on relevant and prioritized content, meet or exceed targeted number of customers educated, as tracked in CRM.
  • Support SAE in coordinating MedEd activities and publication efforts with PMSO.
  • Represent 3M Dental Business to large audiences and regional or national professional association meetings, when required.
  • Ensures all recommendations must be on-label (i.e., we have product claims to support the context of the discussion regarding the 3M product).
  • Actively engage with high-level healthcare professionals, decision makers, and 3M Division Leader.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Clinical Trial Designs, levels of Quality of Evidence, Statistical concepts, and Health Economic analyses.
  • Identifies opportunities and drives relevant customer testimonials/White papers according to the prescribed approval process.
  • Keep up to date with changing and new practices of Dentistry, build this information in educational material and hands-on practices after consulting with SAE Leader; help is upgrading the education content to build image of business as subject-matter leader in market.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrates ability to be a well-recognized clinical expert by professional association regional chapters or at the national level.
  • Actively participates in professional associations. May hold office at the regional chapter or national level.
  • Leads or coaches employees during a project or trains/mentors new employees within functional area.
