Position Overview:

The FFIO and Corporate Services Risk Team at Fidelity TalentSource LLC is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to assist in the identification, monitoring, and mitigation of risks to safeguard the interests of the organization and its clients. The Risk Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing customer trust in Fidelity by collaborating with various business units to pinpoint risks and devise innovative strategies to strengthen controls, while promoting a robust risk culture throughout the organization.

About the Team

Our team delivers specialized Business Unit Risk support to several of Fidelity's Corporate Functions, including Corporate Accounting, Corporate Tax, and the Fund Billing & Expense team within Fund Operations, as part of Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO).

This position is integrated within a broader Risk team that provides support to other divisions within FFIO, as well as various Corporate Functions such as Fidelity Real Estate Company, Corporate Treasury, Procurement, and Enterprise Human Resources.

Required Expertise and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree is essential
  • Over 5 years of experience in the industry, encompassing Audit or other Risk Management roles
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proven leadership or project management experience
  • Comprehension of, and alignment with, the vision, mission, and strategy of Risk
  • Strategic thinker with a creative approach to work, willing to challenge existing practices and suggest enhancements to mitigate risks and foster positive change
  • Proficient in data analytics tools and capabilities (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau); adept at transitioning from sample-based testing to comprehensive population analysis to uncover risks or identify control weaknesses
  • Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities, adjusting focus swiftly based on risk or business requirements
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively to influence stakeholders; tailoring messages to the audience
  • Builds strong, inclusive relationships with business partners and colleagues, both in-person and virtually
  • Adaptable to new information, shifting business priorities, feedback from others, and lessons learned
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in risk management, including risk assessment and control evaluation
  • Preferred subject matter expertise in Corporate Accounting, Fund Accounting, and Audit functional areas
