About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Equipment Operator to join our team at AutoPort Limited. As an Automotive Equipment Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transfer of vehicles between railcars and designated parking areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow daily plans and instructions from local leadership to ensure seamless operations.
  • Drive vehicles onto railcars, working at heights using a ramp system, and ensure vehicles are properly secured and spaced within the railcar.
  • Perform duties to prepare railcars and containers for shipment, including opening and closing railcar doors, setting bridge plates, and chocking and de-chocking vehicles.
  • Maintain organization of vehicles in the yard inventory and adhere to all company and industry-related safety standards and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the Terminal Manager and other railroad personnel to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR).
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to push, pull, or carry up to 50lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to complete a criminal background check.
