Job Overview

VectorCSP is seeking a qualified Aviation Survival Technician (AST) Instructor to provide essential training support for the Training Analysis Support Services (TASS).

Position Requirements: A Secret Clearance is preferred; however, the ability to obtain a Secret clearance is mandatory.

Role Summary:

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is dedicated to delivering comprehensive training, education, and development programs tailored to the needs of its active duty, reserve, and civilian personnel. This role is crucial in delivering instructional services specifically designed for the Aviation Survival Technician (AST) rating.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant training experience in the AST domain, ideally with the USCG, Department of Defense (DoD), or Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
  • Experience in performance analysis, instructional design (including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation), training support services, and effective training delivery is highly desirable.
  • Possession of a Secret Clearance is preferred; the ability to secure a Secret clearance is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert instruction and knowledge to students.
  • Ensure students acquire the necessary skills as mandated by the course curriculum and successfully meet the objectives of the training.
  • Evaluate student performance by assessing their comprehension of course material, proficiency in learned skills, and ability to demonstrate applied knowledge.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in providing training within the Aviation Survival Technician (AST) field.
  • Strong proficiency in creating written documentation and presentation materials.
  • Experience in supporting educational environments.
  • Demonstrated capability to collaborate with diverse teams and achieve results.
  • Ability to produce technical writing.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within a team to solve problems.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the command structure.
