Position Summary: The MEP Quality Lead is tasked with the oversight and management of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components within construction projects. Core Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Direct and coordinate the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
  • Quality Assurance: Guarantee that all MEP work meets the highest quality standards, complying with project specifications, industry codes, and safety regulations.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Collaborate closely with the project management team to create and uphold project schedules, ensuring MEP activities align with the overall construction timeline.
  • Subcontractor Oversight: Manage the performance of MEP subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project schedules, quality benchmarks, and safety protocols.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify potential MEP-related challenges and proactively devise solutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Budget Management: Track MEP-related expenses and collaborate with the project manager to ensure the project remains within financial constraints.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Keep precise records of MEP activities, including daily logs, inspection reports, and change orders. Provide regular updates to the project manager regarding the status of MEP systems.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all MEP operations are conducted in line with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Client Relations: Act as the primary liaison for clients concerning MEP systems, addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have.
  • Team Development: Mentor and support junior staff, assisting in the resolution of complex technical challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5-10 years in MEP supervision within the construction sector, ideally in commercial, industrial, or residential environments.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., LEED, PMP) are advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of MEP systems and installation methodologies.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
    • Exceptional organizational and leadership capabilities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Capacity to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Working hours are 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM. Note that working hours may vary based on project requirements.

This position involves collaboration with internal staff and partner firms/subcontractor personnel.
