We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at the University of Georgia. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory test results that influence critical decisions made by clinicians.
Key Responsibilities- Independently perform waived, moderate, and high complexity diagnostic clinical laboratory tests.
- Provide accurate and timely results and reports that influence critical decisions made by clinicians.
- Assist clinicians in appropriate utilization of laboratory services and interpretation of results.
- Supervise other Technologists and Phlebotomists and perform administrative duties as assigned.
- Baccalaureate degree in the field.
- Experience as a generalist in a clinical laboratory.
- Computer skills to include Windows, Microsoft office, electronic medical record (EMR) and laboratory information systems (LIS), interfaced equipment and reference laboratory reporting.
