Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care services, requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care, and meets the communication needs of the patient and family.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct patient care services, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and providing wound care.
  • Assists with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Participates in patient education and discharge planning.
  • Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • Current and valid license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • IV certification upon hire.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certificate upon hire preferred.
  • Current PALS (AHA) certificate upon hire preferred.
  • Minimum six month of acute or subacute experience required.
