Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Plumas District Hospital. As a key member of our dental team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and promoting oral health in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of a licensed dentist, remove lime deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth, and apply topical agents for complete prophylaxis.
  • Perform preliminary examinations, including periodontal charting, intra- and extra-oral examination of soft tissue, and charting of lesions and existing restorations.
  • Apply pit and fissure sealants and perform oral exfoliative cytology.
  • Assist with periodontal soft tissue curettage under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist.
Requirements
  • Current CPR card.
  • Graduation from a school of dental hygiene accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
  • Licensure in California under the Dental Practice Act.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge of general dental techniques.
