We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse RN Pre-Op to join our team at Texas Orthopedic Hospital. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will be responsible for providing safe and effective care to patients in the pre-operative and post-operative phases.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments of patients to identify potential risks and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote informed decision-making and empowerment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and reduce complications.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse required.
- 2 years medical surgical experience, with preference for post anesthesia care experience.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support course (BLS or BCLS) and certification is required.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support course (ALS or ACLS) and certification is required.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Life Support course (PLS or PCLS) and certification is required.
