Location: Hillview Donor Center

Role Summary: We are seeking a Phlebotomy Professional to support volunteer donors throughout the registration, medical evaluation, and blood collection processes. This position requires exceptional customer service abilities, dependability, professionalism, and a willingness to learn new skills. Candidates must work collaboratively and show a commitment to engaging effectively with the public.

Work Schedule: Typical working hours will be between 7:30 AM – 7:00 PM from Monday to Friday, and Saturday from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Regular Sundays off, except for special events or as required by business needs.

Compensation: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour, depending on education and experience. Phlebotomists with at least 6 months of whole blood training will need to complete Automation training (additional $2.50 skills premium upon completion) and maintain skills competency.

Training Details: This position is based in Hillview, but training will take place for approximately 10 – 12 weeks at our Beaumont location in Lexington (this duration may not be consecutive).

Lodging and travel expenses will be covered.

Work Environment: This role typically involves:

  • Extended periods of standing and walking.
  • Engaging with donors and providing general customer service.
  • Reading, comprehending, and applying Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Inputting and retrieving information using a computer or tablet.

Qualifications: Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Proof of education/certifications will be required during the interview process. Relevant training and education are advantageous. Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is mandatory.
