Job Summary

A Manual Assembler I is responsible for performing simple, repetitive, manual assembly tasks. The assembly tasks for which this individual is responsible are typically comprised of single-step operations. The assembler is also responsible for ensuring that medical devices are assembled with the highest quality possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform repetitive hand and wrist movements to manually assemble small parts using hand tools, fixtures, and/or equipment
  • Ability to perform tasks with the assistance of microscopes
  • Perform functional product testing as required
  • Complete production records and work order documentation as needed
  • Perform work order set ups in electronic batch record, data acquisition, and inventory management systems
  • Weigh, count, package, and label finished product
  • Able to learn simple operations quickly and easily
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility in performing multiple simple manual operations
Requirements
  • Able to read and understand procedures
  • Basic Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Word) and computer experience preferred
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age
Work Environment

This job operates in a clean room environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for the duration of the shift. Must be able to repetitively move and lift objects of up to 20 lbs. Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements. Will use solvents, glue, or solder. Must be able to perform visual inspections with and without the aid of magnification tools.
