HR Admin Assistant

DESCRIPTION:
Controls, Service & Engineering Co., Inc. (CSE) is a family-owned and operated business with over 50 years of experience in the HVAC/Plumbing industry. We provide high-quality service and installations to top industrial, medical, and commercial buildings in Central PA.

JOB SUMMARY:
The HR Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resource department, ensuring efficient operation of the HR office. This role involves handling day-to-day HR tasks, payroll, assisting with recruitment and onboarding, maintaining employee records, and supporting various HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating HR-related events.
  • Process payroll and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare and maintain HR documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and ensure data integrity.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal details, employment history, and training.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and company policies regarding record-keeping.
  • Utilize HR software and systems for data entry, updates, and generating reports.
  • Assist in tracking employee attendance, leave, and performance metrics.
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Support the HR team in preparing for audits and inspections.
  • Assist with job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews.
  • Assist with offer letters, employment contracts, and other onboarding documents.
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and training coordination.
  • Assist with employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Assist with support in resolving employee issues and conflicts, escalating when necessary.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required: Associate's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in Human Resources or related role.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality with handling HR sensitive information
  • Team player, interfaces effectively with other departments within CSE
  • Detailed oriented
  • High level of accuracy
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, and other HR/HRIS software.
  • Professional, conscientious, positive, and helpful attitude.

Work Environment:
  • Functions primarily in an office environment.
  • Position requires the ability to sit, stand, type, and walk throughout the day.
