Position Overview

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will create an exceptional shopping experience for customers by delivering outstanding service. Your role will involve employing effective sales strategies and showcasing in-depth product knowledge in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver genuine, friendly, and enthusiastic customer service by adhering to World-Class service standards.
  • Meet established sales targets and participate in promotional contests.
  • Assist customers with various services such as gift wrapping, gift registries, and special orders.
  • Utilize effective sales techniques to enhance sales volume and productivity.
  • Exhibit thorough product knowledge, including features and advantages.
  • Accurately process transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges.
  • Support the visual merchandising efforts by maintaining appealing displays and signage.
  • Ensure store cleanliness and organization, including stockroom maintenance.
  • Handle merchandise processing, tagging, and restocking as necessary.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • A passion for sales and a proven track record of meeting sales goals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team while also managing individual responsibilities.
  • Comfortable in an entrepreneurial setting and eager to think creatively.
  • Skilled in asking insightful questions to understand customer needs.
  • Enjoy connecting customers with products that suit their style and lifestyle.
  • Successful in environments with clearly defined sales goals.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service and retail sales, preferably in specialty retail.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Physical capability to remain mobile on the sales floor and lift items up to 75 pounds.

Availability Requirements:

Full-time associates should have flexible availability to meet business needs. Part-time associates must be available for a minimum of two shifts on weekends and two during the week.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain active on the sales floor for extended periods.
  • Proficient in operating the POS system.
  • Capable of lifting and moving medium to large items safely.
