Job Summary

The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Vascular Ultrasound Technologist 2 to join our team in the Vascular Lab. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing scheduling and patient flow for interdepartmental procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Perform diagnostic imaging studies under the direction of a Clinical Vascular lab Attending or Fellow.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and assist in the education and training of new physicians and vascular technologists.
  • Research and Development: Participate in research initiatives and develop new protocols and ultrasound imaging techniques.
  • Patient Care: Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures, and provide education and training to patients and families.
  • Administrative Tasks: Schedule patients for procedures, assist with clerical functions, and maintain accurate patient records.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent, and a graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography and/or Vascular accredited program.
  • Certification and Licensing: Vascular Ultrasound Certification, RVT (Registered Vascular Tech) by ARDMS, and RVS (Registered Vascular Sonographer) by CCI.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in diagnostic imaging and vascular ultrasound.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
