Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Saint Francis Hospital, Inc. in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform phases of laboratory testing, as assigned.
  • Collect and process biological specimens and other substances.
  • Perform and report routine analytical tests under the direction of a medical technologist.
  • Monitor quality control within predetermined limits.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment under the direction of a medical technologist.
  • Support laboratory goals by demonstrating teamwork, service excellence, and adhering to established guidelines and policies.
  • Look for ways to improve processes.
  • Work with medical laboratory science students during educational laboratory activities.

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology or a related biological/chemical science from an accredited college or university.
  • 0-6 months related experience in clinical laboratory.
  • PC skills needed for efficient computer utilization.
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to organize work in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Ability to be detail-oriented in the examination of clinical and numerical data.

Working Relationships:

  • Works directly with patients and/or customers.
  • Works with internal customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction.
  • Works with external customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction.
  • Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.

Special Job Dimensions:

  • This position has been identified as a safety-sensitive position under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Use and Patient Protection Act (OMMA).
