Certified Mammography Technician Role
ReGenesis Health Care is seeking a skilled Certified Mammography Technician to assist in the startup of our Mammography services and carry out day-to-day activities in accordance with federal and state standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process screening mammograms following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
- Position mammogram equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to the specification of examination.
- Maintain a cooperative relationship with Breast Navigator to coordinate patient scheduling.
- Complete necessary certification requirements for Mammography Equipment.
- Assist with maintaining federal/state/local certifications and inspections necessary to operate the Mammogram Unit.
- Assist with patient follow-ups for ALL mammogram results including notifying patients of normal results and processing patients' needs for recommended abnormal workup.
- Assist with PACS/eCW imaging result uploading efficiencies and/or troubleshooting.
- Assist with ordering, faxing, and/or scheduling abnormal mammogram follow-ups, including diagnostic ultrasounds or mammograms, as recommended.
- Ensure that professional standards and high-quality patient care are always maintained.
- Understand and adhere to all written policies and procedures of ReGenesis to ensure quality care at the highest level of evidence-based practice.
- Daily job duties may require providing direct clinical intake care if needed to assist office staff.
- Serve as liaison between consultant radiologists and ReGenesis providers.

Requirements:
- Mammography Certification required.
- Radiology Technician (ARRT &/or SCRQSA).
- 3-5 years of direct patient care experience.
- Federally qualified health care experience, preferred.
- Clear/Professional written & verbal communication skills, with colleagues & patients/families.
- Must exhibit a positive/motivational attitude.
- Knowledge/Understanding of technological aspects of healthcare, including electronic medical records & Microsoft applications.
- Personal, reliable transportation to follow off-site screening events/clinics that may include some extended hours.
