Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial consultations with clients to assess legal matters and provide expert guidance.
- Oversee and manage a diverse caseload of litigation cases, ensuring timely progress and regular client communication.
- Provide leadership and direction to support staff, including legal assistants and paralegals, ensuring clarity in task assignments.
- Draft a variety of legal documents such as pleadings and motions, and perform thorough legal research as needed.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the litigation process.
- Focus on achieving monthly revenue targets rather than adhering to a billable hour requirement.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate should currently be a solo practitioner or possess a significant caseload at a larger firm, seeking greater autonomy and work-life balance.
- Prior litigation experience is essential; while expertise in commercial and real estate litigation is preferred, it is not mandatory.
- Proven ability to manage cases from inception to resolution in both County and Circuit Court is crucial.
- Experience in client interactions, particularly in a legal context, is highly regarded.
- Regular participation in meetings with a Managing Attorney and support staff for case updates and discussions is expected.
- This position will initially require in-office work, with a potential transition to a hybrid model, which is non-negotiable.
