Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, obtain, and file essential documents throughout all stages of patent prosecution, including requests for client instructions, assignments, information disclosure statements, and responses to office actions.
  • Manage and maintain a prosecution docket, ensuring timely follow-up on items to meet all due dates and deadlines.
  • Accurately record all hours worked daily by entering time into the firm's timekeeping system to meet the established billable goal.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA (American Bar Association) accredited program, or equivalent legal support experience.
  • At least 6 months of experience as a Patent Paralegal, with knowledge of foreign prosecution or equivalent legal support experience.
  • Experience in preparing and filing information disclosure statements and formal documents, such as assignments and office action shells, is preferred.
  • A collaborative spirit, with a willingness to assist team members as needed, and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Availability to work in the office for training and collaboration, at least 3 days per month.
