Pulmonary Technologist Registered Job Description

Cone Health is seeking a skilled Pulmonary Technologist Registered to join our team. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and managing respiratory conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of pulmonary function tests, including spirometry, lung volume measurements, and diffusion capacity tests.
  • Operate and maintain diagnostic and therapeutic equipment to measure lung volumes, diffusion capacity, and airway hyperactivity.
  • Record and document patient information and test results for healthcare team review.
  • Communicate test procedures and results to patients and healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to diagnose and manage respiratory conditions.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • 3 years of clinical experience.
  • Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a RRT.
  • Licensed by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board as a CRT or RRT.
  • BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
  • ACLS-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
